The eligibility requirements for the CAPM certification are simple and straightforward:
Educational Requirement
- A high school diploma, secondary school certificate, or global equivalent.
Experience or Training Requirement
One of the following:
- 1,500 hours of experience working on project teams, or
- 23 contact hours of formal project management education (fulfilled through this CAPM preparation course).
How to Apply for the CAPM Exam in India
- Create an account on the PMI website.
- Complete and submit the online application with your educational and training details.
- Wait for application approval from PMI.
- Pay the examination fee.
- Schedule your exam either online or at an authorized testing center.
CAPM Exam Details
Exam Format
- The CAPM examination consists of 150 multiple-choice questions.
- Out of the 150 questions, 15 are unscored pretest questions used for research and exam development purposes.
- These pretest questions are randomly distributed throughout the exam and do not impact your final score.
- Total exam duration: 3 hours.
- The exam is computer-based and administered at authorized testing centers or through online proctoring.
- Candidates receive one optional 10-minute break after completing Questions 1–75 and reviewing their responses.
- Once the break begins, candidates cannot return to the first section of the exam.
